D-Link unveils Mobile Companion router

D-Link unveils Mobile Companion router, featuring on-the-go device charging, USB sharing, and Wi-Fi hotspot

The DIR-505 All-in-One Mobile Companion by D-Link, which just came fresh out of the oven here at CES, is essentially a mini wireless router with a host of additional extras any traveling smartphone or tablet user would find useful.

In addition to being able to plug into any existing wired network using its integrated 10/100 Ethernet port and create a wireless access point, the DIR-505 can charge your device via its USB interface.

Also, when a USB storage device is plugged in, you can easily sync files to any Andriod or iOS powered device in the area using the free SharePort Cloud app.

Its small profile allows for easy carrying, plus the hardwired AC plug means no lugging around additional adapters or cables (if you stay in the US, anyway).

At under $75, the DIR-505 will be available throughout the US this April.

Colorware now lets you customize your Samsung Galaxy S4 paintjob

Colorware now lets you customize your Samsung Galaxy S4 paintjob

Colorware, a US-based company which specializes in creating custom paintjobs for a wide range of consumer electronics, has added the Samsung Galaxy S4 to its list of supported devices.

Unfortunately, getting yourself a custom-colored Samsung Galaxy S4 will set you back a cool $1000.

Colorware’s process involves taking apart a brand new Galaxy S4, individually masking and painting all your selected parts, reassembly and inspection, and then shipping you the finished product after about 14 days.

It’s important to note that the price includes a brand new unlocked GSM Galaxy S4 (you can’t provide your own), and that the disassembly process will void your manufacturer warranty (although Colorware offer a one year warranty of its own, as well as an extended warranty).

So, if you want to sport the latest and greatest in colors no one else has, you can get your colorized Galaxy S4 here. They also have custom iPhone 5‘s and BlackBerry Q10‘s as well.

Clash of the titans - HTC Sensation vs

Clash of the titans - HTC Sensation vs. Samsung Galaxy S II [TABLE]

HTC Sensation has just been announced and it couldn’t sound juicer with its 1.2Ghz dual-core Snapdragon processor, 768MB of RAM, 4.3-inch resolution with qHD resolution of 560×940 pixels. Combine that with an 8MP auto-focus camera capable of capturing 1080p full HD videos and the Samsung Galaxy S II has a real rival coming up against it.

It all sounds intriguing, but let’s point the stage lights at the facts and let them talk for themselves.

So there you have it, compared to the HTC Sensation, the Samsung Galaxy S II is noticeably thinner and lighter, but its Super AMOLED Plus screen, despite the same size, has a lower resolution. Both devices are expected to hit the shelves this May in the UK and couple of weeks later in the rest of the markets. Pricing for both devices is still unknown, but should become clear in the following week or so.
